Sensor Mesh Networks for Public Safety

Situational awareness is critical to ensuring public safety at home and abroad. Radia Wireless believes sensors are core to the evolution of wireless networks. With this in mind, Radia Wireless is participating in the development of an advanced wireless “Field Sensor Pod” (FSP) for use in local and wide area networks. The Radia FSP will be deployed in high-profile locations such as airports, baggage & bus terminals, train stations, subways, shopping malls, major highways, tollbooths, entertainment venues, financial centers, arenas and stadiums, all prime targets for acts of terrorism. The FSP will house a patented advanced vapor detection sensor array trained to recognize and distinguish complex vapor signatures by identifying explosives, chemicals and biohazards in real time in conjunction with video and audio for fault tolerant confirmation and first response to emergency life-threatening situations.
